Dr Jayson Ware Forensic Psychologist
Jayson is a Clinical Psychologist with more than 20 years of experience. He has a PhD in Psychology from University of New South Wales, and Master of Arts in psychology from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. Jayson also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology and Certificate in Criminal Justice.
Jayson has published close to 50 book chapters and academic papers on psychological treatment – primarily relating to individuals convicted of committing serious crimes. He has also lectured and trained psychologists and practitioners in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and has conducted a number of workshops and conference presentations internationally.
He first worked at Gymea Lily Psychotherapy centre over 12 years ago and has now returned after working as senior executive in the public sector.
Jayson has been trained in many psychological assessment and treatment approaches. He uses the approaches best suited to each individual to assist them to develop simple yet effective short- and long-term solutions for their emotional or psychological difficulties. Jayson prides himself on being warm, empathic, positive and solution focused with all his clients.
Jayson will be seeing adults only and he is due to depart Gymea Lily at the end of 2022.
