Ingrid is a fully registered Psychologist and has been with Gymea Lily since 2014. She uses a wide range of therapeutic interventions including interpersonal therapy, cognitive therapy, brief solution focused therapy and Mindfulness. She is also very comfortable incorporating art and play therapy in her work with children. Her extensive experience includes counselling adults and children for grief and loss, anxiety, eating disorders, relationship issues as well as depression, self harm, trauma, abuse and self-esteem issues. She has worked with Employee Assistance Programs as a therapist for various providers and is also experienced in child assessments.

Ingrid completed her Bachelor degree in Computer Science and Psychology from the University of South Africa. In 2002, she completed her Masters of Education (Counselling Psychology) with at the University of Western Sydney. In 2007 she obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Organisational Behaviour from Macquarie University.

Ingrid has worked as a school counsellor for over 15 years, working with school-age children and their parents. She is competent in psychometric testing and the interpretation thereof. She has done workshops on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for children with anxiety. She has completed training in Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy and the St George Domestic violence counselling program. Ingrid is also a Board Approved Psychology Supervisor.
