Megan Forbes, Clinical Psychologist

Megan Forbes trained as a Psychologist at the University of NSW (BSc) then completed an MA in Psychology, before finishing her clinical training at Sydney University (M Clin Psych). She has more than 25 years’ experience in clinical and Neuro psychology.

For much of her career she worked with older adults and specialised in cognitively assessing various types of neurodegenerative diseases. She has an interest in all types of brain impairments and the various issues that carers can confront. She has worked in mental health settings and community teams mainly with older cohorts.

Recently Megan has returned to clinical psychology rather than assessments, and is interested in working with adults of all ages. She has training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Behavioural Therapy.

Megan views each client as an individual and tries to work with them in a way that best suits their needs and beliefs systems. She relies on evidence based treatments.

Megan works at Gymea Lily Psychotherapy Centre Tuesdays and Fridays.
