Sincere (Sin Sze) Hui, Clinical Psychology Registrar

Sincere believes everyone deserves the right to be understood and respected regardless of their family upbringing, gender, cultural origin or economic status. Sincere is keen to collaborate with clients to explore their insights about themselves via the psychodynamic framework. She can also utilise other modalities such as the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) to work flexibly with individual clients.

She has worked as a school psychologist and has experience working in an inpatient hospital setting.

Common presenting problems she has dealt with are adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety disorders, borderline personality disorder, and complex trauma. She specialises in working with children, adolescents and young adults.

Sincere is a registered Psychologist with Medicare, trained at the University of Sydney (B Psych) and Macquarie University (M Prof Psych).Sincere has been a university medalist and has received numerous academic prizes.

She completed her clinical training at the University of Wollongong (M Psych Clinical) and is currently engaging in a clinical psychology registrar program supervised by Vera Auerbach. She is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA).

She can also offer therapy in other languages and speaks both Cantonese and Mandarin.

Sincere enjoys swimming and spending time with loved ones when she isn’t working. She brings another green thumb to Gymea Lily which is always appreciated.

Information About Medicare Rebates in 2025- Clients who are utilising Medicare rebates under the Mental Health Care Plans are entitled to 10 rebates per calendar year. Clients may now receive all 10 sessions in one plan. In addition, these rebates can be used towards 10 group therapy sessions as well, however a separate referral is required for group therapy. - Clients who are pregnant or have had a baby in the last 12 months are entitled to additional rebates of up to 3 sessions of pregnancy counselling, for which we are also accredited providers. Any case of post-natal depression, in the 12 months following birth, also falls under this category.- We have 3 psychologists for Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD), where clients are able to claim 4 assessment sessions and 20 treatment sessions for children who come under Autism Spectrum Disorders.- Medicare rebates remain available under Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plans. This enables clients to have 5 further sessions per calendar year.
